Programme profile


This programme focuses on technological knowhow in product design and development and manufacturing technology. In addition, the studies concerning industrial management concentrate on project management, marketing, sales, business economics, procurement, supply chains, international business operations and quality management. An important part of the programme is that students get familiar with operating effectively in a variety of interpersonal networks. Self-development, communication and interpersonal skills, organizational and social as well as international competence and problem-solving skills are essential skills for a mechanical engineer.

Programme content


Engineers need good basic skills and knowledge in mathematics and natural sciences, as well as in product design and development and manufacturing technology. That is why these are the main content of the programme during the first and second years of the studies, and they provide a strong basis for the professional competences in Mechanical Engineering.

Industrial management studies provide students with a diverse knowledge of industrial processes such as business economics and supply chains. Project business management is a special emphasis in your studies. It covers the principles and methods of managing processes, projects and change. These studies you will complete during the third and fourth year of your studies.
Project working is an integral part of the study methods in Mechanical Engineering.

Engineering skills, including working life skills, are learned via projects. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required when someone is working on global projects involving people representing a wide range of nationalities and cultures.
