Programme profile
Are you enthusiastic about everything that is technically possible to make the world more sustainable? Nowadays, companies and organizations are increasingly being rated on their sustainability efforts. What is their impact on humans, society, the environment and climate? Innovations in the field of sustainability can increase the commercial success of companies, but they also contribute to a better world. This is what makes the field of Sustainable Innovation so interesting!
Technically, there is already a lot possible in terms of sustainability. The biggest challenge is to actually implement these possibilities. In order to introduce new sustainable technologies, there is a need for collaboration and coordination between civilians, the government and companies. Multiple and different parties are thus always involved in the whole process. In Sustainable Innovation you learn to view an issue regarding sustainability from these parties' perspective. You could specifically start with these projects, for example:
- establishing energy cooperatives;
- developing hydrogen power plants
- making growth plans for heat networks;
- developing solar home systems;
- encouraging the growth of shared-mobility.
